This is a permanent job for an experienced Laser Operator to join a manufacturing company based in Tyseley B11.

Overview:

• The company make secure door entry systems for public buildings.
• You will be responsible for operating flat bed Trumpf laser cutting machines and a Trumpf bar cutting laser.

Duties:

• You will operate laser cutting machines to produce sheet metal components according to specifications.
• Respsonbile for setting up and adjusting machinery for optimal performance and efficiency.
• There is manual handling loading the sheets or bars onto the machines to be cut.
• Uploading the next programs and following the paper work for production qualities.
• Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of the laser equipment to ensure proper functionality.

Experience:

• Experience in operating laser cutting machinery or similar equipment.
• Basic mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
• Proficient in using hand tools and measuring instruments accurately.
• Maths skills are needed for interpreting measurements and specifications.
• A background in sheet metal fabrication is important.

Hours:

• 7am to 4pm Monday to Friday.
• Overtime may be available.
